How to Print Quotation in Tally.ERP9 & TallyPrime

How to print Quotations from Tally is most common query we get from the most advanced Tally Users as well, in default Tally when we activate Sales Order Management from company features we get the option to print Proforma Invoices or Sales Order which we can track in whole Sales Workflow, but how do we generate Quotation also from Tally to digitize and automate most common business document.

Note : You can only create Quotations if the Inventory features are enabled for the company and only for Inventory Stock Items. If you want to create Quotations for non inventory Stock items follow this link.

For Tally.ERP9

Find the steps given below :

1. Load the Tally.ERP9 Company in which you want to print quotations.
2. Press F11 > Inventory Features > Enable Sales Order Processing.
3. Create a Voucher Type > Quote > Under Sales Order > Make this voucher type as ‘Optional’ by default to Yes.
4. To Create Quotation > from Gateway of Tally > Order Vouchers > Press Alt + F5 > Select Quote > Enter the Voucher Data, the voucher will be entered as optional voucher and thus it will not effect the Sales work flow. Once the quotation is approved, you can convert the voucher into Sales Order.
5. When the voucher will be printed, it will print as Quotation.

For TallyPrime

Find the steps given below :

1. Load the TallyPrime Company in which you want to print quotations.
2. Enable Sales Orders.
3. Create a Voucher Type > Quote > Under Sales Order > Make this voucher type as ‘Optional’ by default to Yes.
4. Follow the same process as of in Tally.ERP9
